hello, im new bla bla bla...im very much in love with dubstep...thanks so much for the forum, blog, and now barefiles so that i can feed my own habit...im finding however that after about a week or so binge i need to take a dubstep holiday because my anxious mind just keeps repeating the same sounds over and over again and it sometimes keeps me up at night!!!...its good though, after the break my addiction just picks right back up where it left off then the cycle repeats...but the music just keeps getting better each time! :D

A newbie from the US of A checking in.

The best parties I have been to in the UK were in Brixton about 8 years back--big beat and garage were big at the time, as was DnB.

In fact the best times I had in London altogether were generally east of the river--my girlfriend at the time was staying at a nice flat in Vauxhall...so I got to know the buses pretty well.

I have been wanting to come back to London again...and the rise of dubstep here in DC has been making me want that even more....

Happened upon this board while scouring the Web for the latest 2Krazy mix; which I found here!

http://www.rodeosaloon.ee/music/2krazy- ... 230306.mp3

Checking in regularly here now... as I just started doing a monthly dubstep night at Science Club here in DC.

SEND LINKS!! Peace!

Signed up here a little while ago but don't get the chance to go raving so much as we just had a baby about a month ago- hopefully he will be into dubstep in a few months.

Been following the scene since i started hearing about artists like Wiley, Kode 9 and Plasticman. Like some others on here got bored of jungle a few years ago and been waiting a while for something with that vibe to come around. Dubstep definitely ticks the right boxes for me!

This is a great place for keeping up to date on tunes and releases. Long may it prosper

What up big bass addicts!!

Michael here,

grew up on the south side of Chicago, "SOUTH SI-EEEEED!!!!"

started listening to underground house in the mid-80's and was one of the few white-boys at the local "Godfather of House" parties with DJ's like Ron Carroll, Frankie Knuckles, Terry Hunter.... Jackin' all night long 8)
Plus every weekend night, a radio station called WBMX played the HOT MIX 5 - I was poppin my cassette in the recorder and taping every show
Image
Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Mickey "Mixin" Oliver, Scott "Smokin" Silz, Ralphi Rosario and Kenny "Jammin" Jason.... then later on came Mario "Smokin" Diaz, Mario Reyes, Mike "Hitman" Wilson, Fast Eddie and Bad Boy Bill

I listened to a lot of Reagae and Dub during that time as well because House Music was considered too 'Black', and my asshole friends weren't into it... ... but they'd listen to Bob Marley???? I loved Dub Reagae and played it all the time...

Chicago's jungle scene hit the clubs early and stayed strong since back in the mid-90's... that's where I felt the bass... and got the itch! The scene was way underground and the weekly and monthly shows were packed to the gills with heads. By the end ogf the night, we all walked out totally soaked in sweat... completly rinsed!!!!

I jumped on the UK Gare-age scene that lasted for half-a-minute here...

Been in search for the deep chest bass I've been hearing about and now all I need is a proper system to plow through my chest every weekend!!!

Big up to the Strictly Jungle Chicago crew, the Bass by the Pound Crew, and my peeps in the PureChicago massive!!!!
