So, in other words, you're saying electronic music producers lack focus and work ethos, so that makes high expectations towards an electronic album somehow unfair? What prevents them from limiting themselves in time, production methods, sounds used, equipment..?
not saying any of that lol just that if you're making beats for an unrestricted period of time there's bound to be some changes in mindsets, moods, equipment, software etc; again not saying that electronic music album - incohesive mess of random styles

but back to my original point, i just think that there's always misconceived expectations around albums for (a) genre(s) that's not really album-oriented

i don't think the album is club-oriented, actually, apart from around 3 tracks. it's more of a listener's album to me.
