Bye bye records.....

I actually think getting upset over this guys intentions is pretty silly.
He seems to buy records, and downloads tracks he owns or are unreleased, hes hardly the enemy.
My view on filesharing is different to mosts on here, but even still...
IF YOUR DOWNLOADING TUNES THAT AINT OUT YET THEN YA A NAUGHTY BOY!
Depends how you wanna look at it though, your opinion aint the same as the original posters....
Its not taking away from sales, i dont belive (almost) anyone buys vinyl just to own the track and listen every now and again.
I'm not saying dont pay for music, just its not as bad as people tend to think
Am I one of the original posters that you're referring to?

...And so is spelling vinyl like THAT.
All music should be paid for, if that's what the artist wants. They're enriching your life with music, so bloody reward them after they put time, effort and probably their own money into making it.
Plain and simple.
Oh, but don't pay for any music that has been made using pirated software.

I do. I don't like shopping or waiting for music. If i feel like listening to a new album or tune i like i can hit up Boomkat or Bleep and have it downloaded safely and without thieving in a couple of minutes. Occasionaly i'll buy a CD. But rarely nowdays. I used to buy vinyl but ive got no room anymore and i can never be bothered searching through hundreds of plates for one tune. Embrace the future

I think this track is horrendous...I love noisy ,weird stuff but this track just seems like a waste of everyones time apart from the skream groupies obviously...maybe its just me.
It is extremely funny how a guy who talks about using slsk even though he obviously buys a fuckload of records gets it in the neck from the dubstep mafia.
Soulseek gives people who's entire existence isnt based around 1 STUPID FUCKING SCENE, a chance to hear things from many different forms of music that they would previously never have had the chance to hear...Yes,thats correct, theyre not paying for it but they wouldnt have bought it anyway.Call me a tnuc if you want, but thats a fact.Obviously theres people who abuse it and see it as an excuse to not have to buy music at all but as far as I can see thats not the case here.
P2P is the way it is in 2007.No matter how much telling off and moaning you do,its here to stay.Get used to it.

Fair play you don't like the track, The title of the tune sums it up really.
I don't and neither does Skream expect a lot of people to like it, it's very mental, more of an aquired taste and even I ain't found a place for it in my sets at this stage..
Anyway it's not ok to think it should be second nature to download a fresh tune via Soulseek or whatever..
The music industry as a whole is fucked.
When a load of good producers can't make good music no more because they've got to drive a bus 12 hours a day or work in Tesco for a living then it wont only be the soulseekers that loose out on potentially great music that never got made because the producer wasn't in a position to create it, but also the people who don't mind paying for good music.
The old chestnut about soulseek spreads it to people, promotes the music blah blah is weak, music was promoted fine before p2p came about.
If a producer wants to share it this way they're more than capable of doing it themselves, producers and record labels know whats good for them and their music, no matter how much you do or don't support music it's not up to you to be judge plus there's a difference between downloading artists such as 50 cent and someone who sell's 500 units.
You wanna spread the music, well share the producers radio show's and mixes etc.
When I grew up there weren't no p2p stuff going on but did I loose out on my musical edutainment... No,
The music is still available to everyone and you can find it if you really want with or without p2p*
*Had to make grammar amendements due to prototype message being written on a crap wap fone.

It's on mixes available to download in the 'Mixes' section of the forum, I'd try downloading last few Skream mixes to find it.

Any person who really loves music will find the time to express their creativity, regardless of how many hours they have to put in at Tesco. It's about what you decide is important in your life and then planning accordingly. If a producer gives up making music because "he doesn't get the money he used to due to P2P", then I'd be highly sceptical of that producer's motivation for making music in the first place.
producers and record labels know whats good for them and their music
I'm willing to bet that there is a rather significant amount of producers, artists and DJs out there who have a thing or two to say about labels "knowing what's good for them and their music".
