My hatred mostly stems from being subjected to this shit for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. You can even see how just relentlessly hammering it into people they end up liking it. Example, that uptown funk one my boss goes " Oh i used to hate this but now I LOVE it!" yeah because its been fucking played to you 48 times this week ffs.
Its reach a stage where these fucking songs are looping in my head, driving me nuts. Its no wonder people with little to no intrest in music outside of "whats on the radio" can be lead into buying all this stuff.
At the same time, pretty much anything Beyonce does is good, I dont really mind Call me maybe and actually pretty happy to hear The Weeknd is getting a track played

Good song but with shit like that its the 'omg how new and original this is' thats annoying when really its just a fresh look at old styles. The goons that think funk is some next level new shit
I was talking to someone and said its a good tune but I bet it'll cause other people to try recreate old styles.. then this happened...
Nickleback disco

All of this 100%. Someone I work with said 'how can you not love this?' about uptown funk and I just replied I don't really like anything thats played THAT regularly.
The Beyonce album is the best thing to happen in the charts in a long time imo

that uptown funk one is alright until the chorus, it just sounds like music for adverts
As soon as that horn kicks in I just hear "Get $20 off when you order..." or something
