Liked the idea when I was younger, and the whole Ital rasta thing/Buddhist/Hindu/Shaolin/Sikh. Proof in pudding unfortunately.
Vegetarian=Anaemic
Knew one girl when she was off the meat she was pale, spotty, got loads of colds, now she's back on the flesh she's sexier, healthier and more outgoing than before, and i've heard it second hand again and again
Sorry animals you had your turn, now relinquish your body parts!

I've been veggie for about 6 years and I've never had any health problems apart from the odd cold. However, I feel a bit hypocritical because I sometimes eat dairy products from industrially farmed animals. I try and buy organic if I can but I don't always have the money or time (there's no shops near me that do organic stuff)

I've cut back on red meat...but i could never go strictly veggie. Tried for a month, and then ended up going nuts on a 14 oz NY strip.
What can I say...i'm a fucking carnivore..

I have never eaten red meat or fish, just chicken. I got food poisoning from that when I was 13 and have been completely off ever since.

Twenty years without red or white meat! Ten without dairy. I feel generally healthier and more energetic.

Been veggie a few times.Actually went for a girl once.I satyed that one for 3 and a half years. She got me from strictly meat/cheese/potatoes to tofu/greens/rice and pasta.Gained a bit of weight for a minute due to the over abundance of pasta and cheese(needed to fill myself up),but lost it almost immediately once I started meat again.
So yeah...I am back to meat, but I have learned to be more balanced with it.Not as much reds, more veggies on me plate, and vegan meals at least twice a week.I also appreciate vegetarianism much more.Gardenburgers are the bomb, because unlike Boca, they aren't trying for the "meat taste".Can't get off the cheese though...

well illustrated by your avatar.
im almost vegan myself but hav to eat fish sometimes for proteines because im allergic to diary beans lenses and nuts.
some need meat.
but when im in the supermarket see all the packed and stuffed meat and imagine a timetraveller from the year 2400 where they find other ways (artificial meat) to supplement the aminos how would it look like to them...

i went off red meat for about 3 years like 10 years ago
i had severe migraines for years but never linked the two
then one day somebody told me it was probably the red meat thing and i tried eating it again and haven't had a migraine since then
i guess it was the iron? i dunno. but anyway i have recently just quit eating meat altogether and i can sorta feel the little migraine creeping back up in the base of my skull
does anybody have any experience with this and/or have any suggestions what i shoudl be eating
