I think he mis-spoke because before that he said he was adding "two point seven kay" and then he summarized it as "twenty seven kay" because he was camera nervous.

This looks like what he is using...no 27Khz setting

But "twenty seven kay just for air". 2.7K for air? Nope. Or maybe you're right and he mis-spoked big time and he should have said "we just added some 2.7K and some 12K just for air". 12K isn't really just "air" tho, and there's no 12K setting either, just 12.5K...

Hmm I'll be damned. I as sure there was 27. K. Obvs I've just seen the 2.7 and decided it was 27 looool. Idk
Those eqs are smooth as fuck though. Even just putting the signal through with a flat eq seems to add something good

Lots of Mastering EQs go well above 20kHz though. Massive Passive definitely does.
