No fucking way. Have a friend who tried most of the insanely addictive drugs. He kicked this one and was stupid enough to try some breaking bad. He's been clean for two months but he lacks enough self control for me to have faith in him kicking it on his own.

I could understand when you have little left to live for, like when you get so old that you are contemplating suicide, then sure, go for it; I am a proud advocate for legalizing suicide (when you want to go, you want to go). However, if I have shit I'm working towards, no.

Not as much as you would think, codeine gets metabolised into morphine in the body the same as heroin does. Heroin is much stronger as the way it's taken usually avoids the liver and very quickly gets into the brain, also all that's needed to get two morphine molecules is one deacetylation reaction and another small reaction whereas for codeine there's quite a few reactions to get to morphine. So you get a lot more morphine released per gram of heroin than codeine, hence it's quite different effects.

Oh ok interesting. I was more on like a granma scale of I know opium is like this and that the other bit is usually with a needle (meaning its more direct ofcourse) and the last one is just a tame medecine variation like morphine. But I guess it means you can get a stronger effect from codeine than from opium? Because it has to be inhaled/drunk in tea.

Imagine if it wasn't the perception of reality changing by the ingestion of the drug, but the changing to a whole other reality. like, different potentials, other parralell universes, but with different rules, and outcomes, and ....everything.
well, heroin holds the key to the changing to a very particularly beautifull reality. one where events happen at a different speed. observation here is made on levels that no other reality can, things have there own poetry, every moment tied to the next delicately. like a ballet through existence.
now Imagine everyday life the hussle for the bus the tinny noise of a builders radio grimey walls from the car fumes noxious at the back of your throat. the grimaces as those you walk past, rats in the own tunnel of self-dissatisfaction barge and bussle as you nurse a headache of woe and anxiety as everything you have to worry about jossles in your head.
once youve tasted the poetry its gonna be very hard for you to want to return to the ugly. especially as a recent submergence will show it more severe by comparison alone.
You might want to stay in there, but you'll be alone. Friends will leave, family will too. and this lonelinessx may force you to escape that reality for a normal constructivism.
be warned though, it'll never be the same. the mere experience alone is enough to let you know the grass can be greener. And once youve seen it once you'll always have the comparison to compare the shiteness of your own reality to.

beauty can be seen in a sober reality though. you just need to train yourself to experience.

I know people who "apparently" cut coke with a bit of heroin.. seen people do it and they felt light headed, sick and really mellow.. proper zoned out. Don't really see the point in cutting it with heroin tbh so probably bullshit but yeah, line of coke proper zoned them out for ages.

But no, I wouldn't try it. Maybe in some extreme scenario where I was getting paid loads and it was doctors giving me a tiny bit. What mason said about it sounds right.. I've always understood codeine, morphine and heroin to be basically the same but hugely different strengths (I'm sure I read heroin is 8 times the strength of morphine and codeine is about 8 times the strength of morphine?).. love a bit of prescription codeine for a huge hangover.. just sleep and in a lovely mongy state where I can watch shit TV all day/night and sleep loads. Its amazing for avoiding the inevitable horror of a bad hangover by sleeping loads and feeling pretty decent on the whole while tucked up in bed but fuck ever doing that shit regularly.

I used codeine for hangovers in my last 2 years at uni and in the final year I got in the habit of throwing up all day for about half hour/hour all day.. like 12 hours long apart from the times I was asleep. I'm sure it was the codeine that did it cause I was never one that threw up on hangovers. At the time I just thought I was getting old and couldn't handle the 10+ pints while watching footie then a bottle of rum while mixing but I've stopped taking painkillers when I'm hungover and it doesn't matter how much I drink I'm never sick. When I was puking a lot with hangovers I was probably getting through 10 or so 15/500 cocodamol.
