There was an interesting article about middle-class parents who after investing so much effort into bringing up their little darlings to be kings of the world, found that they had given birth to divs, and managed to get these kids diagnosed as dyslexic by doctors, so that again it would be seen as a mental disorder rather than the fact that they were lacking intellectually.

i agree with you sooo much. in my time ive seen so many illiterate kids, who were so called dyslexic, getting fucking essays written for them at college, getting loads of extra help, when they should have just fucking learned to read. n like you say. blame the idiot parents for not taking abit of time out to read with their kids. yet they go and blame the schools for not doing it.
and yeah, i have known proper dyslexic kids, who spell and read in a tottally different way to the illiterate muppets.
