Mine - www.musicv2.com/artist/kidlogic - the house mix I have on there is called "Glue All" from about 2001, not quite as historical as the other stuff you posted, but that one has alot of my favorite tunes on it from 99-01...

House is making a nice underground comeback in the LA scene... the Electro/Disco/French stuff is hot with the hipster scene, but if you go deeper into the underground the Jackin/Funky house scene is on fire. So much good stuff, I wish I knew more names to pass on to you. If you hit up Dave on his musicv2.com site and let him know I sent you Im sure he'd hit you with some names to check out for whats current...

My old school favorites are the Chicago heads, thats where I "grew up" raving - driving down to Chicago or Milwaukee or Madison (WI) to go to shows and see Mark Farina (before he moved to SF), CZR, Paul Johnson... man, names are escaping me right now, but so much good house was heard back in the day.

CZR is def one of my favorites, hes responsible for this gem - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6OxyCKwpsw - one of my first records bought and still one of my favorite tunes. He's still doin the damn thing too, I just saw him last summer and he KILLED. This style of house was my shit when I started, so funky... I may have to dig some vinyl out and make a little mix.

I kind of missed out on much of the House scene. Was too much of a Junglist during my teenage years. Didn't have much time for it. Used to listen to alot of stuff on the radio though.

Carl Craigs rmx of Theo Parish - Fallin Up is one of my favourite tunes of all time. So ridiculously deep.

Yeah, I got my start on house and feel blessed to have been in the midwest near enough to Chicago when I started all of this, got a good education in EDM just from being there. We had the Chicago house heads, the Detroit techno heads, the actually decent old school Wisconsin trance heads (more on a tribal, deep tip than epic) and a few really good dnb heads (Danny the Wildchild, 3D, Snuggles N Slak, Phantom 45... ) - a good smorgasboard of the good styles, although I missed out on the 'ardcore and Jungle of the early-mid '90s which is something I wish I could have experienced first hand...

I might have my first real house mix on a tape somewhere, and Ive been meaning to transfer it for a while now... Ill get on it and post it for you guys. The concept isnt gonna transfer to CD or mp3 very well, unfortunately though... I called it '360 degrees' and it starts in the middle of the same track it ends with, so that if you were listening to it on a tapedeck with auto-reverse on it was like a continuous loop. Ill have to take a look and see if I can find it...

I feel priveliged to have experienced that, though i think if i had the choice i would choose the early House/Techno scene. Must have been immense. So much raw energy in that music.

Yeah, I came into it in the late 90s... 95, 96 ish and even then it was still amazing... we would drive for up to 6 hours to get to a show and see people from 5 states... crazy locations from warehouses to barns to bars to stadiums to fields... mixtapes at every show... and hearing those legends every weekend - I didnt realize how spoiled I was with some of those guys until much later in life, it was the norm for us so we didnt think much of it, they were our locals yaknow...

I used to see Juan Atkins, Stacy Pullen, Ritchie Hawtin, Carl Craig, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Funk, DJ Assault... (many more I cant think of right now too) all the time. Hawtin never dissapointed, ever, and I can remember a few DJ Funk sets that ended with whole dancefloors naked! Its funny, I could never listen to his style of Booty House outside a party, but it was murder on the dancefloor...

Dance Mania, Underground Construction, IHR... man, I havent thought about those labels or DJs in so long, cant remember many names... this thread is bringing back some memories trying to though.
