www.blackoutaudio.co.uk/

This site I think has the most comprehensive uk-centric techno forum on the net. Closest thing to a dubstepforum equivalent. Has a good events forum too that lists everything going down in the uk.

Also, Derrick May is playing at Spacebase at plastic people this friday. He's a legend in the techno scene. Spacebase is also a good night to learn about the roots of techno. The music policy is to cover everything in the spectrum, old and new.

Also the Scion Versions (Substance & Vainqueur) releases have been amazing
We have booked DJ Pete aka Substance / Scion Versions to play in April at Corsica Studios (alongside Neil Landstrumm, Bass Clef and a load of others...)

Caught him playing a live set in some little strip bar down Hackney Road last year. Was really very good...
Yeah, i'd love to see him live, might be down in april - when is it?
4th April - Corsica Studios

The whole night will be a techno electro bass acid shindig

if you have a spare 3hours..
channel 4 did a great documentary called 'pump up the volume'
as with anything like this they cant fit in everyhting and everyone.. but covers the main players very well and makes for an interesting documententary on the rise of house music..

deepchord / echospace

especially coldest season, grandbend, spatial dimension

on a basic channel tip, warm tape hiss, submerged kicks

i'm going to stop before i start to sound like boomkat
