Hurting right now. You book acts that you really want to check but dont get the chance to have a proper good listen because you're rushing around. Didnt even have the chance to speak to my mates who travelled miles to come down to this
But as expected, what a mad mad...special night !! Good to see so many of you there, even if it was only for a couple of secs.
personal highlights were -
Total Science (Spinback) Kicked off the drum and bass proper!
Cash Money - the cross fader packed in during his set ...had to race to stepney to get a new mixer. Smashed it....awesome.
Randall - only had a brief listen to what he was on as i was in Stepney for most of of it but Randalls mixing and selection as expected, totally fucked up the place.
Rider - played some riddims!! Was good to see people still on the floor when the lights went on @ 6am .
Dissappointed I didnt have the time to check much of the residents or Fabio, Bryan Gs, klashnekoffs, Skinnymans, Rodney P and Inks sets...but everything was lovely.
The dubstep room was a good touch and added an extra dimension.....complimented the intensity of the other rooms. Even the club management were loving it in the back office. The Dubstep room is back November.
Next event is Carnival weekend August 26....full line up and flyer will be up in a few days.

i ended up skankin my keys out of my pocket and locking myself out of my flat. saturday night / sunday morning was long!

this is the thing with these multi line ups, you know the dubstep is going to be in the smaller room with the smaller sound system, and no zomby soldier is going to pay 15 quid for less than brilliant. its a shame but it does seem to be the running theme (turnmills fabric etc.)

Loving it enough to close the room early?

it is - totally. but once id paid my money i'm determined to have a good time.
i kept going over to the sub, starring at it longingly - asking it for more, to work harder for me. but no, it refused. i was going to buy it a drink but nah - not after that performance.
