This tune at 57 minutes is pretty good.. still not totally convinced though.

But holy shit, 75 minutes in and Youngsta's crazed! Doubles of Sound by D1. Awesome!

i've been curious to see who would be the one to break into the d1/dmz/skream circle in mr. youngster's crate

nice job headhunter 8)
same here, headhunter is very yunx, been droppin a few beats down to him myself and gettin really good feedback, but i think if you want him to cut ur rubs you have to be minimal and dark, he loves half step, my stuff is a little more upbeat although i did try and tailor a few beats for him just couldn't get into it as much as i would producin a beat for me. headhunters stuff is rawkus.

UFO over easy wrote:So far I haven't been into Headhunter productions. I always thought H.E.N.C.H stuff lacked funk - very clinical, very aggressive, and fairly monotonous, which is fine but not really for me. D1 is a bit like that except his drum arrangements and synths are totally immaculate, and his vocal tunes have proved that he has the ability to switch it up occasionally.

Haven't downloaded this set yet, but I'm looking forward to hearing the Headhunter tunes anyway - maybe hearing them in the context of a Youngsta mix will change my mind.
Im with you on that one, prefer a more percussive beat, hi hats drifting in and out etc, some of the tunes slightly too bare, some heavy bits from that camp though still.

Yup. I downloaded that hench from dubloaded set from Gutterbreakz, and whilst I was really into some of it, I thought there was quite a lot of filler. Headhunter is blatently the best producer of that crew though, his tunes stand head and shoulders above the rest.

It's the atmospherics in his tunes that just about rescue them I think.

whiteboi has some interesting bits too. agree regarding the clinical sound but i think there's still time for them to develop a whole lot.

diversity in the scenes, diversity in the soundz and in visions of the sound...
Let comes the clinical and ultra minimal and mix it with the soulful and the melodical.
Where the fuck is the problem 8 ;-)
No sense if Hench crew or somebody else reproduce the dmz or skream or kode 9 sound.
It's just different and it sounds pretty big i.m.h.o
Big up London !
Big up Bristol !
Big up Dubstep !
