sorry eveyrone, heaven forbid i attempt and do something with my time.
i thought it was interesting and thought the people on this site would be interested.
I thought i had made it as clear as possible that i in no way beleive that skream ripped off the soundtrack.
Did any of you even read my post?
I've never been treated so poorly on any forum before for simply posting a video.
@Flaviano My video did imply YOU should make a decision on whether or not it was a coincidence but at no point did i say it was not or even use the word coincidence in my video. And its far more than three notes the echoe effect and timing are very similar as well.

Most of you are speaking as though I'm trashing the tune, Skream! was my first dubstep album and midnight request line is a brilliant peice of work, at no point in time did i every say anything that reflected my opinion of the song.

As for my free time give me a break I'm a senior in highschool and i just got into college so I've got a lot less work to do, i dont understand why you would all attack me for making a video, i dont know if youve been on youtube lately but there are a lot of vieos that i think you all would consider a bigger waste of time.

I dont see why youre being so hostile and for those of you who continue to harbor such hatred based on false assumptions I apologize for wasting your time. Thanks to Rootsteady, i-line, and Fushimi for being so kind.
I obviously misjudged the majority of the users on this forum for more accepting people and deeply regret forcing all of them to take notice to such a disgrace to the dubstep genre.

Yeah bro, you got fucking jumped on! I feel bad for you, just pointing out a point of interest as far as I can tell, and I'm pretty sure the last time this got posted it didn't cause such a ruckus.

Better luck with your next post! Peace. :D :D

i liked the video
it was cool when it was jumping from one clip to the other, then back, then back again, then back a bit faster, and faster again

great fun!

The most interresting thing is to see how ppl can react when it comes to something that they really love.

Euforia. I don't even think you have to apologise on what you've done here. By the way, I've not been replied to be good/fair (blabla) to you actually.
I did react on thread cause it's been the first time i've seen ppl geeting so agro for such a thing.

seems like a lot of agro on the forum these days. people are starting to take themselves way too serious. i love this forum (and music) precisely because it isn't founded by a bunch of jumped-up wannabes.
ok, it's not the 1st time i've heard this theory but skream probably did rip the theme. nothing to get hung up about. burial sampled eastenders and metal gear solid for fuck's sake. i always thought that modern music was founded on these principals. it's called post-modernism, people.
shame on everyone for being too precious.
dude, welcome to the forum and ignore the hate. it'll go away soon....

ps. anyone ever noticed that cotti and cluekid's sensi dub has really similar vocals to that dillinger tune? FIGHT!

This is such a stupid discussion to enter into BUT; there is no way to discern whether Skream took influence from this or not without asking the man himself. This makes any statements such as "skream probably did rip the theme", and all speculation about it absolutely absurd and a complete waste of time.

Any film with tom hanks in it makes me feel like I'm being tucked up in bed

Out to the man like hanks

The effort thats gone into the video is funny

if you listen to the theme in request line, it's basically a standard ascending arpeggio, followed by the same arpeggio one tone/semi tone pitched down.

it would be very easy for both people to come up with the idea independently. big up skream though, this tune is still genius.

and anyway i'm all for a bit of stealing. re-appropriating through sampling is healthy!

I keep waiting for Nicky Campbell to show up at the end and say:

"We confronted Skream about this disturbing likeness, BUT HE DECLINED TO COMMENT." Complete with accusatory tone.

the same melody is present in loads of classical music as said its a simple arpeggio, music is not made in a void everything has inspiration especially with the vast variety of music that you can hear these days.

I'm unsure because I'm lazy and can't be fucked to read this thread again but the original poster wasn't even really accusing anyone of anything was he? Accuse suggests he was trying to scupper him

The arpeggio isn't ALL that tune is anyway, so i dunno why people would either a) be angry at skream for nicking it if he DID or b) would be angry at someone accusing him of nicking it, whether or not if he did or not whether

catch

:z:

Well said Corpsey.

why so much hate for this new forum person ?

Skream himself does not seem bothered by the thread so why should anyone else be ?

the film theme is heavy in its own way -

request line is an all time classic no question about that -

everyone's happy !

I just re-read the thread and poor old boy gets murdered by people
Personally i think its just coincedence that they sound similar and thought it was kindof interesting I'm not saying Skream copied it in any way.
Sorry mayt
