There's nothing unreal about digital signal processing.
i use to be quite a purist, i think it's a stupid way to be. i would elaborate but i can't b bothered to type.

Been out for a while, no? Its bad, no doubt... I think you can get a free copy of Melodyne Uno (stripped down version like Reason Lite) with M-Audio products and online somewhere. Ive got a copy (of Uno) somewhere Eric, Ill try to remember to grab it for you if I can find it.

nothing is perfect...the sound that you hear and feel on a day to day basis is even flawed...excluding digital replications of course
but please go on if you have the chance. I'm not a purist...I'm not anything but DSP is quite unreal imo...nothing wrong with that though

playing a instrument will never go away. life lessons and the spritual dimension to learning and sound is something that computer based music can get close to but never replace...imo of course

I know about to a certain insight what is the math and the technology under the hood of Melodyne and I can tell you can expect in next years a technology which splits a song in its parts, effectively separating each instrument from the others, just like the human ear do
