Benga and Skream played at the Hit & Run 7th Birthday at the Carling Academy, so yeah I reckon you'll be fine.

That is actually my face in my avatar, so if you see me come say hello. And you probably will see me.

Big up Charris and Cosgrove and the Club:Dub crew, big up Darkman, Lager, Typo, Phil and all the regulars.
Hatcha on the 7th of May by the looks - will cruise down for sure, will be my last week in Oxford - be good to go out on a high.

Should really go out in Oxford one of these days, seeing as I live in Oxfordshire lol

Even if there aren't many nights on London is only an hour away on the tube (which is about 9 quid for a night flight return thing)

I live in oxfordshire once again as i moved down for my new job, I used to do a night a few years back at the covern (was a techno night mind) have they sorted that place out yet? Also did a night at the baby bar a few months back, but got the usual "can you play some electro" requests, after an hour or so of not much attention for playing some fine dubstep riddims I just banged out some drum and bass and that seemed to get people moving, let them eat cake i guess.

i lived in oxford most of my life til last year, not much dubstep apart from the new night they do every now and again. Quite a good dnb scene, something u can go and have a dance to most weeks.

Definately a wicked selection of pubs, bars and restaurants, beautiful parks and general good vibe. The club scene is a little weak but as people have been saying, u can pop on the bus (which runs to and from oxford every 10mins 24 hours) to london and ur in victoria before u know it!!

I would highly reccomend living in oxford for a bit mate, plenty jokes to be had.

yeah mate i remember your set (you played west coast rocks remix, right?), was really nice dark mechanical vibe set the night up well. or did i completely dream that?

heatwave smacked it, vex'd were great as per. and then i was just about to leave and whoever was on next played 'boi dem' by durrty goodz as their first tune!

dunno why i can remember so much about that night (seeing as i can only remember about 2 tunes all night from subloaded last friday) but it was a fucking good 1 8)

Bumping this thread, as I'd like to know if anyone knows anything about a massive dubstep night in Oxford on the 21st November at the Carling Academy! On Benga's, Caspa's and Rusko's MySpaces they all list the Academy as a tour date on the 21st, but the Carling Academy website says nothing! Looks sick tho

Not sure about the Academy but if you can sit through Pendulum, Youngsta's playing at Brookes on Thursday 18th Sept. Sick venue and they're bringing in 30k funktion 1 rig ....

Have already sat through a Pendulum gig in Oxford and wouldn't do it again, even for youngsta. Seein him this fri at fwd v rinse anyway. This night on the 21st Nov looks utterly preposterous tho! Chase & Status in Ox on 11 Oct supposedly as well, promises to be a good end of the year

:o :o :o :o :o

that has made me very happy. as people said, club:dub aside, oxford's mainly devoid of dubstep, looking forward to hearing a bit more of it next term though by the sounds of things.

Carling Academy website is shit. Roots MAnuva should be performning there sometime aswell, not sure when. That lineup doesn't sound exactly to my taste but fuck may attend.

Not seen any flyers for club dub recently - that still going?
