"jim" is good but i am disappointed to hear less electronic expermentation in the music. the dude has an amazing voice and i typically do not enjoy "vocally" music, but i have to admit that i have listened to "jim" 5 times in the last few days.
I think it was inevitable that Lidell would eventually go in the singer/songwriter direction. It's been a recurring trend ever since the last few outings of Super_Collider, where the tunes became more like actual songs and less like tracks.
It's nevertheless still mind-boggling that a white man is able to sing like he does.

oh, he does sing well.
I believe its safe to say that he would win a talent show, a las, British Idol.

Two words: Daddy's Car. That song was a force. Haven't heard the new album, but I've definitely been wanting to see the man live for a minute.

yep the guy is top stuff. caught him live in bristol 3 years ago, bout 30 people showed up, multi had not long been out an it was before he did that glastonbury gig. still tho the guy smashed it for well over an hour with all manner of mad gadgets. the energy he has is great to watch, and that voice.............
new album im not so into just yet, but im sure as soon as the sun comes out ill be playing it alot more.
like somejerk said its disappointing there is no electronic expermentation in the music. I wanted more of that! as that was 1 of the reasons I got into him in the 1st place. A sort of squarepusher meets stevie wonder lol

Multiply was amazing. The new one is still pretty good too but as far as his live performance is concerned I'm a little dissapointed, he's givin up his solo act for a full band. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be cool, I just think it's way doper to see him up there by himself looping all his beats and programming it all himself.

to be fair his recent bristol show (may 2nd) he did most of his set solo with his max/msp set-up... say maybe 40 mins of an hour set...

Great live performer, was wearing a komono with a metal sieve on his head when i seen him last..........on a different note miss brass has slightley freaked me out with just how much she loves the lidell, especially the crazy photo with his giant head floating above her

He is indeed very great. 'Jim' has its moments but at times veers a little too close to Jamiroquai for my liking. 'Multiply' is one of the best (and certainly most surprising) albums of the last few years though.
