perhaps the guy was a) excited about talking to carl craig and b) excited about dubstep, and the two happened to converge. it's easy to seem a bit overzealous sometimes when you get excited about music. i know the feeling personally, and to some it comes off as something more insidious than it actually is.jackquinox wrote:I dont really understand this trend at the moment for trying to convert big name producers and djs of liking dubstep, this is kind of reminiscent of the whole Goldie interview the other week, the fact is, the more you push something on people the less they are going to agree with you (i think jehovahs witness, moormen and islamic fundamentalists should take note of that one) if a dj likes a record he will play it, does it bother me that carl craig and goldie dont like dubstep no, carl craig in particular always plays good music (and has made some of the most seminal tracks ever constructed) and dubstep isnt the only good music out there so why does everyone make such a big deal.
absolutely no doubt about that!!!elemental wrote:Carl Craig is a fucking DONThomas wrote:

I do agree with this in part especially where derrick may is concerned, great dj, great producer but does enjoy a good rant about how they are the originators and so every other producer (especially in techno) falls under them.Ory wrote:I've got a lot of respect for them Detroit guys, but sometimes I feel they're a little bit up themselves.
