i can see that if ur a veg (as indeed i am!) that u may object to it on a treatment of animals perspective.
but these lil piggies will lead much better lives than a lot of your sausages.
i dunno how u can call it a waste of ink tho, just cos eg. tattoos of swallows means nothing to some, it can mean a lot to others, indeed the whole concept of pig tattoos (as in a tattoo of a pig on a person) has a lot of history.
and as an artistic statement i think it defo has merits (more to me personally than any of the D.Hirst formaldahide works for example)

anything can have artistic merit depending on the way you look at it - i personally have quite a few tattoos and i can tell you they hurt like fucking hell getting done - i at least am of sound mind and body and acknowledge this when i enter a tatty shop and allow myself to get tortured for a couple hours in the name of art

a pig however can not consciously say "shit id love to get some more ink done today" so they cant really be aware of how much that shit is gonna hurt - at least if they are killed to be made into food most of the time (not all and i know this) its quick and painless...

so if you can find me a pig out there who can admit to enjoy being tattooed for the sake of art then i can agree with you - otherwise - well its no worse then the slaughter house - IMHO>>>

btw i dont eat pork -

they're sedated so they won't be feeling the pain of the needle during, but i'm sure they'll still be in pain afterwards, especially since they won't know what the fuck has happened to them to be causing pain, unlike any human who has chosen to get a tattoo. i'm slowly convincing myself this is out of order now heh
