make sure the patches are put into the folder in document & settings/native instruments/shared content/sounds/massive (or something like that - i'm on a mac)wub wrote:Ok, d'loaded the file, unzipped to a folder etc etc. Tried to open through Massive (legit copy, got it last week) and told that file cannot be opened.
Any suggestions?

Chewie, what version of massive were you using when you made the patches?
Ive got the latest version of Massive and I use patches I made ages ago before I upgraded, so you shouldnt have a problem. I think Chewies patches must be corrupt as they dont even work with the older version of Massive that Ive got on my old production lappy.wub wrote: Hold up, does that mean if I were in future to upgrade my copy of Massive to a newer update, then patches created under the old version would no longer work? Or does Massive somehow update the KSD files as and when the VST itself is upgraded?
You don't have to do this to get your patches to work. If you have a Mac, just simply go in your Macintosh HD directory and make a new folder in there (or wherever you want) and then call it Massive Patches (or call it whatever you want) then go in Massive go to File - Options - Then Locate the folder within Massive and double click it then click Rebuild Database and there you go.chewie wrote:make sure the patches are put into the folder in document & settings/native instruments/shared content/sounds/massive (or something like that - i'm on a mac)wub wrote:Ok, d'loaded the file, unzipped to a folder etc etc. Tried to open through Massive (legit copy, got it last week) and told that file cannot be opened.

then go to browser click the sounds tab and look inside "my sounds" and try opening them from there.
