Yeman, big up the heads on the 05 vibe! It's all about tunes like monsoon, crackbong, goatstare, etc; old skream an loefah tunes, basically any old yunx set.
What I wanna know is how we got from 28g (IMO got just the right amount of wobble) to triple RWD cockney thug?
Or how nights went from little dark rooms with 20 mans in to something more like pendulum selling out another students union?

Sync with a lot said here.
Whatever happened to Horsepower Productions....Sinbad, Marseilles Connection and all...now, there's ds that handles repeated listens....inventive, dubby, laidback but trippy and ego-lite.
Trouble is, there's so much now, that names don't register anymore when a jewell appears amongst the dross. Plus, samples not used as much or as well IMO.

Who remembers about the Lix Corruptions gang? they had a Distance EP around that time that was the shit, as well as that Andy Havok tune and most of Hindzy D stuff. I believe I saw some of them old releases repressed not long ago
Not sure why, but I suddenly remembered of them when I read about 2005 dubstep...

lol.
his track 'Jah Love' is a Scientist tune called "Vulcan" taken from his Dub Landings LP.
he's taken most of the main parts and just re-dubbed them with some new beats over the original track.

You can do deep, sparse tunes with a bit of ruffness without just knocking off Loefah circa '05, though.
It's decent question, it's something I miss from a lot of the new deeper stuff I hear and something I'd be up for hearing more of if there's much out there...

Its totally about looking back, for without this you will not know where you is from, and will surely not know where you are to!
