nah i didnt doubt his worth, just didnt know how efficient a label it was! evidently my questions were unjustified! will have to check the pieter k ting, he's amazing. you say its out now?

Antifunk is one of the best dnb tunes ive heard for many years (as is Ago). do you know when its due?

got the net label ones, and theyre heavy, but dont test either of the above for me

The Pieter K record is amazing.. the one for me is a remix of a tune called Dangergirl by an artist called Tinfed. Not heard of them before. The remix is gorgeous though. It's another one that's 'going on classical' :D End of Me by Macc is great too.

You can order them both, full artwork, from John Doe now I think.

If you can't, the Pieter K one is out in record shops on promo.

Clips of all the tunes and contact info for counter intelligence here - http://www.subvertcentral.com/forum/vie ... hp?t=31270

Think counter intelligence, offshore and subtle audio are my favourite dnb labels at the moment. :)

Apparently the next two will also be out before the end of the year. Number 008 will be Dissident/Fracture and Neptune :D

Definitely. The Dak tune is good too.

It hasn't really deserved any for a while.. but now with a few good plates out things are looking up.

have you heard that heist 12 on headz? got that on cheap from redeye (no idea why it was reduced... so was sileni's 12!), and its fucking badboy, such a deep record

Yeah just checked the clips on redeye, not bad. I've just heard too much like it though I think.

The only guy doing similar, dancefloor friendly stuff that I'm really feeling at the moment is d-bridge. His stuff in the past year has been stupidly good, really consistant.

Also if you like the Heist 12, it's worth checking out tunes by Sabre - he has some quality bits. Some of its got a proper jagged, 97 techsteppy sort of sound to it. Unfortunately his only released tunes so far have been a bit wack.. derivative liquid dnb.

Someone else to look out for is Survival - used to be part of Banaczech. Check out his mix from a recent technicality, darkness.

mmmm banaczech were sick

dunno man theres somethin about that heist 12, it has a certain sweetness and emotional charge that raises it above for me

one of the tunes off that dbridge bingo ep is amazing, i need to keep an eye out for him

actually quite rate the a side of the new intalex ep too, weird acidy tune

Yeah man that intalex tune isn't too bad! Have you checked out any of Martyn's tracks? Proper weirdstep -w- Drum and bass from a techno perspective, way cool. Lots of bounce. This play:music release is the one I'm feeling most.

This is my favourite d-bridge tune that's come out in the past year - http://www.redeyerecords1.co.uk/sounds/cat7060b.asf

Called Love's Ugly Child. Absolutely sick! The other side is a fantastic futuristic sci-fi techstep style number as well - rudeness :D

those martyn tracks are live, good to hear the swing beats in something other than bodyrock! that second one is fucking sick, i love that rolling but stabbing techy flavour, reminds me of classic techstep digital. my mate who is well into dnb raves about martyn but ive been long getting round to checking him

that d bridge track is lovely too. back in the day i always thought the others from BC were wack, how horribly wrong i was, look at fresh now :( made some classic tunes in his time though. this is that dbridge tune on bingo im into:

http://www.redeyerecords1.co.uk/sounds/cat6856b.asf

clip doesnt do it justice though imo... thats the kind of vocal id like to hear coming through at 140bpm, soulful and tender

just got pieter k's album everything all the time through the post today, the first two tracks are completely astonishing. that kid kameleon mix is awesome, need to pick up a couple of his 12s too i think

also finally got a hold of defcon one time is the fire, what a fucking ruff tune, loving that, pure dirt, no refinement, just unashamedly filthy hard dnb. shame that the b side is SHIT... pure one hit wonder

hah.. looking forward to this too. It's been ages since the last offshore :)

Elgato - check out the new Martyn on Bassbin! It's stupidly heavy. Believe It is the one http://www.redeyerecords1.co.uk/sounds/cat9306b.asf

The other side is pretty wicked too, but all the nice touches are sort of obscured by totally standard dnb composition..
