overs heads tunes are comin thru Lwiz as a gd example moldies tunes are big also i think skreams an ntype bin playin sum of them i mite b rong i play em cnt forget the movin ninja lads from australia either they have had releases on uk labels

i reckon it might be time to get a bit jungle with some dj only versions, you know like them old vip refixes. got to agree that skream is right and so is the response, so its finding some sort of a balance. its frustrating cos i see both sides .

I like rewinds on hype tunes, it gets me going even more. But more than one rewind (or two for the most banging tunes) ain't really needed, I wanna hear the dj draw for the skills rather than relying on rewinds to get crowd reaction.
I think the variation thing is important, especially for dmz. Now I'm telling anyone hopw to run thier thing, it's loefah's and digi mystikz dance and they can run it however they want, shit they have been successful enough as it is. But I would love to see Pinch on rotation a bit more, maybe even some of the other Bristol heads? And further a field, there's bare producers and dj's now who genuinely smash up dmz, Joe nice for instance, it's always an absolute pleasure when he plays and to be honest for the DMZ 1st birthday many people including myself thought his was the set of the night! So roll on getting some brand new fresh names.

pinchy is my brother from another mother, he's played a few times, joe my other brother from another mother has also played a few times and if he lived in balham instead of baltimore i reckon he'd play a bit more. internationally theres loads of people who deserve booking and on home soil , but just realise how the scene has exploded in a way that noone could have truly predicted. all of a sudden everyone is a dj and/or a producer and with more and more nights appearing its important to have the right lineup. but end of the day you have to tip your brim to the hard workers .... they know who they are. and to the gang with the hard work ahead of them , big up and stay true.

i think it's down to it takin quite a while to get a release out there.
prime example being 'Mud'.. heard it in Jan for the first time on Breezeblock and nuff noise was bein made about it. my opinion its the freshest tune to come from the DMZ camp to date. but it ain't really surprisin when the buzz quietens down/tune still gettin battered 6 months later when it actually gets released...

More you get into a style of music the more bored you get of it, even its high points. Sad but true... although in another way you get deeper into it and fall more in love with it, but if you listen to it all the time you're going to get bored of tunes that the more casual listeners have barely even heard.
But I agree that a wider range needs to be represented in sets.

Exactly Tronman, but it's not the artists fault its because the music is in its first five/six years there is no lable that has enough money to press and release enough dubs for everyone while the tune is still fresh, tunes get roadtested/ravetested? by the big name producerDJ's and personally I have no problem with that, if a tune is deep enough/has enuff changes in it, it will go the distance and people will actually want to own it to mix/play themselves as well as just hearing it on the offchance at a rave. It does do my nut that my favourites are never released though, it's a bit like the grass is greener on the other side. No pressure on these dudes but producers like IronSoul, Walsh and Hijack should in my opinion release a back catalogue EP cos its those kind of tunes that will never get rinsed for me. Also EP's get rinsed slower than 12's I reckon.
Out in the streets! dubstep fans are murder....
