So is this oldskool rave/hardcore stuff or dubstep? or a combination of the two? If so, maybe I'll finally be able to get my mate into 'step.

difficult to confirm as I haven't heard all of it. I have heard some samples though, and every track was pure revival '92 oldschool. Not a sniff of the sort of Zomby tunes you've heard on Ramp or Hyperdub.

Werk seem to be leaking promos to a few people. Managed to cop a couple of tracks and its a mixture of bmore, dubstep, ghetto and rave fused together. Floats on there, B with me. He's totally switched it. Am excited

Listening to float now.

Sick music. Have loved early hardcore for ages now, but being 2 years old in 1992, I missed out on most of it. Hearing something like this is great.

Zomby's quality is consistently high. I would be disappointed if this did not sound like his shit on hyperdub/ ramp.

Listening to the song I can say it does definitely not sound like his stuff.

But Float's a sick tune anyways!

will be interesting to hear the rest....but taking in what thinking said I wouldn't have expectations for this one

No, because I listened to it. I'm not allowed to agree with someone without boring you? LOL

what so you have listened to the whole album or just one tune?
your comments have been lame throughout this thread, why comment negatively if you have no music from the album bar the one track and a few snippets?

hey, buddy, my opinion's as valid as yours.

And FWIW, I said the song was sick. I look forward to hearing the rest of it.

And if you read back, I said nothing negative. Only trying to say not to expect it to sound like the rest.

I think your comment is lame.

Where did that come from?!

The album is based on a few tracks Zomby did for fun as a homage to his passion for old rave tunes. Werk loved the tracks so much, they licensed the tracks for an album. This will not be a change in direction, just a lil side project to keep things interesting.

In other Zomby news, he has another 12" coming on the wonderful Ramp Recordings, with "The Lie", the as yet unheard anywhere "Dripping Like Water", and a remix of The Lie from LV.... "Rumours & Revelations" is getting an extremely limited pressing of 300 on new vinyl only label BRAiNMATH very soon... and Hyperdub have another Zomby release coming too!
