Jungle and hardcore tend to be busier, "fuller", and more rythmically complex than your average dubstep track; Shackleton's tunes are a textbook example of maximum groove using minimal sounds. If your ears are accustomed to hearing lots of elements filling up a track, someone like Shackleton probably won't do it for you. Hence all the "boring" remarks. Yeah you're probably right. I just can't imagine why anyone would still want to mix hardcore, and tell people that's what they do. Don't get me wrong, I love hardcore, '89 - 93 all the way. The newer stuff is some of the worst music committed to vinyl though, as is a lot of post-2001 DnB.
