has anyone read the burial album review in this months 'vice' magazine (uk issue) ? .... not a good look . The reviewer must be into death rock or on drugs , either way he needs to check himself .

Cheers. Just gave it a listen. Can imagine it being the sort of thing 20-something Hoxtonites gather round to smoke crack to.

yea I'm really anticipating some new burial stuff, since that's what got me into dubstep in the first place. listened to the album ~35-40 times already. and the ep was my first legal mp3 purchase.
man… burial is crack[lin']

yep, me too. didn't really get deep into the genre until i heard burial. problem is now his sound is really killing me and nothing else seems to measure up quite like burial's stuff. other producers just seem too IDM/glitch for me or a bit too simplistic and linear by comparison.

anybody know what's happening with that tune "Unite" or the other non-album non-ep tunes on the breezeblock mix?

He's just patented his own line of coffee tables. Watch for them dropping late 06-07.

Nah I am. Just think his music might end up getting perceived as such, which is a shame.

I take it Various is worth getting then?
Nah. Some of their singles are decent. The album is just like parody dubstep, with a bit of gash off-key finger picked folk thrown in.

I'd like to know that too. The tune at 14 minutes into the breezeblock mix if my favourite Burial tune ever... it's either Gaslight or Rain, can't tell from the tracklist.

Can someone please post the Vice review of Burial?

I'm curious to see what those jokers have to say about it. I'm guessing its not favourable.
