definitely one of the top dubwar's i've ever been to. so diverse, and so much positivity from every direction.
martyn delivered the goods in a proper style, everyone was getting down.
joe nice was in rare form...too many red bulls i suspect. i requested silkie, untold and kromestar before he started, and got em all. yeah, we got physical....THANKS
flyLo...well...all i could do was stand in the front row with one hand on my forehead, and my mouth hanging wide open. LITERALLY. don't know if i've ever seen such a hyped musician go SO above and SO beyond. i can't even remember what his set sounded like, cause i've never heard music like that before. LEGENDARY
floss daily dropped a super mysterious and mind bending set. who is that guy?
to all the other dubwar organizers/supporters: thanks a mili! unbelievable night.

oh. i just woke up after a 2-day self-induced post-bliss coma. the name of this forum should be changed to "Afterglow". i had a bunch of things to say but then i realized panda read my mind and preemptively posted for me, good lookin out!
dub war needs a historian. more pics pls! (even tho, alex, what did i say about 'some things are just too special to be visually recorded' on the cab ride there upon realizing we had forgot your cam? yep)
unstoppable. thanksgiving indeed.

what kind of crowd do you get at a dub war? All sorts?

def a interesting mix... you got your hardcore soldiers & usual suspects, the extended nyc (and area travel crew) dubstep bassline jungle posse...
then you get a bunch of college people... the club love is more or less on the NYU "campus" (which is basically the village...)
and then you got your random bridge & tunnelers as we call them, folks who come into nyc to hit the clubs on friday and have heard love is a dope spot (it is)
the crowd is usually def id say 60% there for the music specifically, which is a pretty high ratio in a big nyc club, and it leads to better vibes than youll find in alot of spots...

the LOVE atmosphere is deff a mixed ass crowd but i must say its deff more than 60% there for the music, i mean you do see a lot of bar peeps just hoverin for drinks. its the best vibe i've ever seen at a club the only place you can turn to the dude to your left or right and just nod in recognition of the music thats busting out at you.
p.s. if you really want your chest to vibrate go to the back-middle of the floor youll know when you hit the sweet spot!

I went to this and got a fair bit of HD video too in the process.
Here's Flying Lotus killing it at around 4:30am.

Respect to Dubwar, I'm glad i made the effort whilst out in New York for a few days, it was a great party.
