Well I got some CX300's for Xmas and have to say am quite dissapointed. I was expecting strong bass and majority of the noise on the tube/trains to be cut out. Yes, there is a reduction in noise but to my ears the sound is bad. What you get is less bass and an increase in the higher frequencies. Personally I'm gonna stick with the cheap ipod headphones. Very dissapointed .... £30 seems a rip off.

yeh i've got 2 pairs of these (cable got loose on first pair so bought more, they've sorted that issue with the new models tho). LOVE the sound, bass it well strong, feels like a sub woofer in your ear! would definitely recommend them to anyone. my bro got the Shure (i think) in ear phones (the ones that have bare good reviews) at the same time and they were so tinny & poor in comparison he returned them n got the v-moda's. i swear by them.
Do the V-Moda's have a good even sound alongside stronger bass? Fuckin' pissed at how shit the CX-300's are.

Made my eq setting on my ipod to extra bass which definitely makes a difference. I reckon I could live with these headphones in this setting. Still not 100% sure as some of the high freqencies seem harsh to my ears.

yeh, mostly i listen to dubstep n listenin wit the v-moda's on the tube still gives me bassface, they won't distort unless the actual music/file quality is poor. they don't completely block out background noise but do to some extent and so you usually don't need to even put the volume all the way up. wud defo recommend.

Just recommended these to my sister. Gonna try my CX-300's tomoz on the tube in Xtra bass mode. Listening to Herbie Hancock at the mo and the xtra bass sounds real nice.
