ive had this urge to quit smoking lately ...

Thing is right.....Smoking kills my appetite, which means I only eat 3 meals a day an don't snack ..

When I don't have cigarettes and I am gagging for one, I tend to eat....so if I gave up, i'd get really fat and I can't lose my underweight-ness.. So I am just gunna keep smoking and staying unhealthy just cause I was a fat kid who got none, so I don't want a repeat of that  .

'wan though Deams, good luck.

I only bunned for like 3 years but I used to get through a 1/4 a day during the last year I was bunning and I just went cold turkey, just didn't touch it for 8 months, obviously been around it and then started to have the odd pull but not a proper sessh - it wasn't THAT hard to quit bunnin I mean, i'd get the . "I feel like a spliff" through my head but thats it, after about 5-6 months it was cushty, didn't really want it anymore and realllllllllly went off the smell of it, if people were bunning i'd walk out the room.. I felt a lot more alive and shit after I stopped bunning though, even took up running

believe im smoking the fattest 8F when i get home 2night though

WHOS WITH ME??!!
i am with ya brother, wish i could say the same bout quiting. I really really wanna give up ciggs, coz it's a stupid 20}+ a day thing for me n i don't really even enjoy em. I have smoked for 10+ years n the amount of damage that has been done to my lungs i don't want to to even think about. Weed on the other hand i smoke from 2-5 smallish spliffs a day and i really enjoy it, would love to be a strictly weedend/weekend smoker hehe, but will power is low. funnily enough i worked out lastnight i spend around £1800 a year on weed  :( around £75 every 2weeks. I spend most of my money on weed, to be honest the only reason i would like to give up weed is the money. Myself and others need to pull our fingers from our behinds and really try to quit cigarettes and weed for the new year. Anyways mate good luck with giving up

After about 4-6 days you'll get what we call "the dreams"

At the time you'll shit yourself and dread going asleep after the first time you have one, but you'll look back and laugh your tits off at some of the stuff you dreamt of.

Its worth quitting to experience those alone, trust me!
I gave up weed a few weeks back, only lasted a while but i certainly started to have dreams again, something i hadn't experienced for a long time. I think it's more the case of you not remembering them when you smoke weed not simply not getting them but anyway....My dream consisted of me at a rather posh party with a few friends of mine, a lot of Chinese people i didn't know and Daman Albarn (who i also don't know), so after a bit of drinking and stuff there's a huge, HUGE explosion on the horizon and everyones shitting it, scared out of their fucking minds, then another, and another until we all realise this is the end of the world and there is nothing we can do to stop it...Albarn is fine though, he's the only one who isn't bothered at all, and no one can work out why. Eventually the explosions get really close and everyone is crying and hugging eachother, i spot this little Chinese girl out the corner of my eye who looks really scared so i give her a hug and say its gonna be OK then KAPOWW were all dead and i wake up. Was soaking wet with sweat and was soo soo soo scared.

strange stuff.

I started smoking weed again that evening.

Good luck mate, i reckon giving up smoking is slightly easier these days as you can't light up in pubs etc.

You can always tell a smoker who as just given up as they don't know what to do with their hands, the fidgety fuckers.

So true. They are the most nutty dreams you'll ever have, almost like tripping. They stay with you for the rest of the day, quite weird really!

fair play to you, i will be joining in, plus a month off the booze, and taking up a nutty fitness/studying scheme, big up the new year.

pk- wrote: The hardest thing I've found with quitting the cigs is resisting the urge when you drink. Apparently it's because alcohol lowers your heartrate, and your body remembers that nicotine raises it.* I've got round that by giving up the booze as well but I doubt you'd be up for that
say it aint so petey!!
