$98 bucks away from the goal and only 6 days to make it happen...
I will be posting a jpg of the flyer as soon as Subtek has it ready...
If 50 people each gave 2 dollars (1 pound) we would be in the clear. Think of what Ivan and this board have done for the community! Anything I can do to cement the perception of the forum as a cornerstone of the scene I will do... and this trio of internationally attended and recognized conferences seems a perfect avenue to promote.
Again, any help is really appreciated.
Thank you all in advance.

I'll donate too after I get off class.
I really like to see people in the dubstep scene really organizing themselves and trying to push forward their culture in a concerted, realistic manner.
I wish I could say the same about the grime boys.

Flyer is at the printers...
Your help is truly appreciated - our startup expenses have been substantial so any costs incurred right now are covered by the committee volunteers. We will have 5000 of these and are willing to ship some out to anyone who will pay for postage.
Thanks for your support!!!

I really like the idea behind Pressing Issues and huge respect to everyone involved for giving their time and energy to what will hopefully remain a community based label. $2.00 is an insignificant amount of money for most people on the forum. Donating this amount to PI is a good way for forum members to contribute to the development of an alternative, more egalitarian model of label ownership and management as well as Dubstep itself.
That said, if you're going to ask forum members for donations it really needs to be for something with a definite purpose and tangible benefit. Funding someone's jolly in Vegas doesn't seem very productive to me. What on earth do you hope to achieve by handing out flyers at a business conference? Making "Industry" contacts, perhaps? - Why do you need to do this? The fact that this is a "Billboard" conference should really set alarm bells ringing.
I would like to contribute but I'm not at all convinced.

I respect your opinion but the only person funding jollies here is me

I am paying for my own hotel and conference fees. I also respect that the scene in the UK may have already found footing but this exercise does have value here where "dubstep" is on the tip of people's tongues - a wider audience is aware of the potential but do not fully understand it's position or value.
If your concern is that the promotion will only reach industry executives and therefore have no value (with which I would have to disagree), the flyers will also be distributed at the Summer Music Conference and the Love Fest parade which was attended by 70,000 people last year.
http://www.summermusicconference.net/
http://www.sflovefest.org/
We are also willing to ship a stack to any local group trying to push the sound.
I am sorry you don't see value in this exercise and I recognize your concerns. There is no profit to be made here, no major expense being funded and I believe the promotion will reach a potential new audience and industry attention for the sound.
If you would like to discuss this further with me I would be happy to take it offline in PM or IM so as not to derail the thread.
