It was earlier - it's just grey now here in Southwark. Someone told me it was coming down pretty thick in the western suburbs..

record floods in Northern Queensland,
dumping winds go inland, dry and move south
bringing us desert heat. 42 today.
Amazed at how well surviving trees are doing.
Could do with the moisture you guys have got.

as someone else said, were not used to it, the last time it snowed like this was 20 years ago, so we havent got snow plows ready to spring into action, and we dont have snow chains becuase they mash up the roads too much. In canada its a regular thing so you've got the infrastrcture to deal with it. People here would moan like fuck if taxpayers money was going on snow plows that just sat in garages for 20 years doing fuck all.

Most people use public transport to go to work, if theres no trains / buses - then no work! cant complain its a free day off. Also alot of people who drive have never driven in snow like this over here so dont know what to do.

Use the gears to slow down people, into 2nd, then into 1st just slows you down enough that you shouldnt need to brake
