Unlike a lot of MCs who can just shout on the beats, Crazy gets between them. Admitedly, some of his lines are a bit daft (although I like that too), but it's still a welcome contrast to glorified violence and put downs. I suppose that he is accessible, but that should be a positive, not a negative. Did you hear the Younsta FWD mix from about a year ago? Crazy D's performance is amazing and never infringes on Youngsta's master set. He can go from daft lines like 'wonky donkey...honky bonky' to his 'that's why they won't give me a slice guy' routine where some MCs get stuck on bragging about bullshit. And the best thing about Crazy D is that he knows the tunes and loves them, that's why he knows when to lay off.
To be honest, the MCs at the last two FWDs really started to get on my nerves.
Maybe I didnt make myself too clear- my fault. I love Crazy D and he definitely toasts the music nicely- which iz proper important to me. And when I said he was easier to digest it was in no way meant as a put-down trus me.
I was just trying to give V.I.C and Dangerous a place in the dubstep scheme coz I definitely dont want dubstep MCs to be reduced to flow over content. U can definitely get 6 foot deep over a dubstep track (LYRICALLY) without being LOUDER than the music (metaphoricaly speakin). It's a fine art though coz the MC ego can come into play ending in a sabotage ting
Music definitely comes first.
And I realise that the issue about who's a vet and who aint is a totally superficial one but I suppose I was trying to educate man's who might not know (not supposed to sound patronising).
