It's the little blue box in my photo. It has nice Focusrite pres in it (the Mbox2 has these too but is not branded Focusrite). Only works with Pro Tools. Nice rugged little thing, if you're doing electronic music with PT it's all you need (rather than going up to their 6- or 8- channel interfaces).

Powerbook G4
Logic 7.1.1 w/ EXS24 (need Kontakt badly, though)
MOTU 828
Event 20/20 bas
Emu E6400 Ultra w/ RFX
Waldorf XT
Waldorf Q32
Sherman Filterbank mk2
Oxygen 8
TLA Ivory 2 EQ
Chandler Tube Driver
assorted cheap compressors and stompboxes

That said, I don't get nearly enough time to use the hardware any more. I almost solely stick to software. Once I move and get a real studio set up, though, I'm definitely going to come back to the XT and Emu - that's a heavy heavy combination...

On the wishlist: AMEK 9098 EQ, RME Fireface

Would really like Logic 7...think it would sort my sound out loads...just about having the time to take the steep learning curve...

Really want to go on a good part time course in production...anyone know any in London?

Ableton Live 5
A few VSTs and AUs
Peak 4
Reason 3
Soundtrack Pro
Evolution UC-33 Midi Mixer
Yamaha RY-30 Drum Machine
Powerbook and Mac Mini

I recently sold off just about all of my hardware to make things simpler. Hoping to get NI Battery in the new year and maybe a small Oxygen keyboard.

We've also just set up a ProTools/G5-based studio at school.

I teach logic for a living here in the states. If you get it, then just drop me a line with any questions. I love it, though I do split my time between it and Ableton Live 5. Both are amazing for production.

If you are looking for training I found these on the apple site listed for logic pro training.

Zefa... I also teach logic part time, i had an advanced course recommended to me a while back now, down a Bath Spa Uni, and i know they also do beginner and intermediate ones too.. There like a 3 day intensive thing, but I've heard pretty good things about them...

http://www.cendia.co.uk/

This would probably be cheaper than shelling out for a part time 10 week course too... Like most apps you only need to get shown a few things before you can work the rest out for yourself...

IMO, i think Logic 7's probably more user friendly than the older versions were.. Its deffo easier to set up, and if your already using these kind of apps, you'll be fine..

Likewise above mate, if you get stuck with anything just shout...

Ha!

At the mo I have a beat up, 5 year old sub-1ghz desktop, with reason 2.5. And thats all...

Damn my student debts!!! Planning on getting a decent (3.5-5ghz) computer and a copy of Logic 7 once i got the cash.
Heard logic is pretty good, although i've not used it before.

I use: 1ghz PIII PC, M-Audio Delta 44, Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro, Event Ps8 monitors, I only use Audacity on the PC. I used to use Acid Pro 3 and Reaktor 3 on it but the main harddrive took a sh*t on me so now I just use my secondary hardrive and only use it for recording and internet.

I also use: 1.67ghz G4 Power Book, Echo Indigo DJ, Live 5, Reaktor 5, and Absynth 2, Evolution Uc33e, and a Midiman Keystation 61.

I also have a Guild Pilot bass, Gallien-Krueger 800rb head, Trace Elliot 2x15 cab

DOD pedals: Grind, Meat Box, Gonkulator Modulator
