Fl studio for sure IMO. I still use it for most of my drum loops... Just straight forward no messing about. Also can host VSTs whereas Reason cannot.

Hmmmm weird. I learnt on Logic and found it really easy to use. I got Reason cos my dad had it and tried it out, and I hated everything about it, and found it a lot harder to use than Logic. I guess that each DAW has its differences and I believe it's all personal preference. I know that doesn't help at all but jsut download a few demos and see what works best for u.

Next up for quick accessability is FL Studio/Ableton/Reason. You will still need to read a few tutorials or the manual to get your head around the interface. After that, ideas will flow easily.

Finally you get the heavy weights: Logic/Pro Tools/Cubase/Sonar/Digital Performer/Renoise etc. Unless you read the manual and tutorials attentively, these can cause nightmares!

The best program is one you actually pay for...Then you will definitely read the manual and try to learn shit.
Don't end up like one of those guys who list off all the DAW's and VST's they "own" and then ask how to make a wobble.

Firstly you can get just as good results with ableton, reason or FL as you can with any other sequencer.

Secondly I wouldn't say they are necessarily easier to use, it depends on your workflow. Personally Logic has been the simplest DAW I've ever used (and I've only messed about with it in the apple store because I refuse to ever buy a mac) Also FL for me has been the hardest to use DAW ever. It was the first one I tried and since I have tried to use the demo several times with very limited success. Also I use Ableton at the moment and I never use the 'loops' feature because it makes no sense to me. My brain just doesn't work that way, I need to use it like a proper sequencer.

Ease of use doesn't = lower sound quality. This is very important to understand.
