Because it's using Dubstep as a distraction. Enter Shikari have to be one of the least remarkable bands out of the whole British "hardcore" scene. There are bands I hate more, but at the end of the day, Enter Shikari aren't good at their main field of genre. When they came out, they decided to prop it up with a lot of fake techno, like several american bands do, to varying degrees of success. It vaguely worked for them, but criticism grew swift.

Now they're using Dubstep. Which is the 'it' genre of electronic music, and great for the clubs. I'm sure they've gone out to parties, and at one point, Cockney Thug got dropped, and they thought "This would make a great tune to mosh to." As usual, they only have a limited grasp of what makes Dubstep good at all, so they utilize the wobble and that's it.

So it's not, "Oh, this is horrible, Enter Shikari are doing dubstep", it's "Oh, this is horrible, Enter Shikari are using dubstep to pretend they're a creative band."

tbf Enter Shikari look like your average Dubstepper. I wouldnt be surprised if they been into this shit for time

Tune's alright, vocal is HORRIBLE. Won't be on the shopping list.

Coming from and still involved in the hardcore scene, these dudes are pretty ridiculous. Dont see how this is even passing as hardcore. we have a few really bad American bands doing the same. my guess is that, its making the little girls and boys go crazy?

I haven't checked that song out cus im on my phone but it makes me laugh how easy it is for everyone to gun then down... I used to play im a metal band and no one seem's to realise how long enter have been going without getting anywhere. Rou (Enter Shikari Vocals and Electronics) happens to be a DJ aswell called ROUT. ROUT specialises in d&b but does occasionally make a class dubstep track. He does know what he's doing and the contrast between the genre's in Enter Shikari is genius. He may not be a Skream or Rusko, but bearing in mind what else he can do, he is a fucking good musician. So before all you ignorant twats start stating incorrect incompetant facts, do your research, yeah?

Sandcastles; being a DnB/Dubstep producer doesn't make you a good musician. Being a producer who makes tunes that are brilliant does. Now, putting wobble on a bull-shit ass scenecore song in order to make yourself seem left-field of Bring Me The Horizon doesn't increase your musicianship in my book.

And plenty of rock bands think they understand the genres they incorporate. Doesn't mean they necessarily get it right, or make good music as a result.

I'd consider them to be very creative actually. If we're honest I could pick any number of bands/artists they i have the impression are shit and say something bad about them cos it's easy to do that, with out really knowing anything about them.

I think that if any artist/band is willing to dedicate so much of their time and energy into creating something they care about then there is probably some value to be found in it.

This whole thread is saying some pretty harsh things, and i'm pretty sure that very few people posting in this thread have never seen them live or really no much about them, which is pretty weak....

to be fair; if 14 year old girls want to think that is dubstep then they will go see shikari instead of infesting the real scene...

granted, shikaris efforts are crap but who gives a fuck. if it's shit people won't listen to it. everybody wins
