I've replied to the definites (via Soundcloud)...

Amazing selection of tracks, really. Big Ups to DSF.

If you haven't heard back yet- please don't be discouraged... it doesn't mean I didn't like the track(s), but rather it just didn't happen to fit the vibe alongside other tracks. I keep everything, so it might make it on next month or the month after...

Also- just a last round call... I pretty much have all the 140bpm tracks I will use this month, but if you have some 120s or 130s... or especially bassy glitch hop 90-100bpms... send em on in. I still have a few open spaces...

Either use my Soundcloud or PM me..

All respect due.

Hey mad ep ..

You might have noticed my thread in this same forum ("Producers - we want your dubs") .. I'm doing basically the same thing as you - requesting tunes for the radio, using soundcloud drop box. I also found it a bit tricky. What I found is, especially when the tunes are coming through thick + fast, it's best to keep logging on and downloading 'em ... unless you want to shell out for a paid account, which I would prefer not to of course! :)

I will check your show - it's a lunch time show for me here in Sydney. Hope you do the same for mine - if you're an early riser (7-9am Fridays GMT, bondifm.com.au) ...

Yeah- I have had the same problems regarding Soundcloud.

It can be convenient, but when lots of entries all come at the same time, it tends to crash on people. Sucks. Problem is- I am not always around to download as they come in (I tend to grab em all at the end of the night)...

It may very well work better for paying customers, but I have a hard time shelling out for a service I am currently underwhelmed with. So yeah- PMs with upload links are fine anytime.

I'll try to catch your show... but I am usually on my way to work at that time. If you archive, I'll definitely check it out.

Considering how cheap hosting is, im shocked how many producers dont get their own webspace.

Trying to get people to dl shit of rapidshare and the like is a massive pain. Your trying to get your stuff heard. Shell out a few bucks for a domain name and some hosting space if you want to be taken seriously. IMO. it costs me like around $8 a month for shit loads of space and a domain, spend more than that in one visit to the pub.

Cheers mad ep/micapam/-boring and all the others going out their way to get unsigned/unknown peeps heard. Its appreciated.

I just gave you access via Soundcloud to 2 more tracks. 1 is a dubstep track by a good friend of mine that was mastered by Macc @ Subvert Central. The other is a 130bpm range track.

That's exactly it, Ben.

I have had my own hosting for years. I am still trying to "find time" to actually make my official website, but having the webspace has been essential. As you mentioned, hosting is cheap as chips these days... almost no excuse not to have it.

Anyway- glad people are appreciative of the interest. I was (and still am) blessed to have people take a chance on me, and it is the very least I can do in return. There is a lot of talent out there, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone more excited to hype underground heat, regardless of style, label or affiliation.

As one last note-- something that I have learned over the past week or so, going through so many tracks... If I may offer one piece of general advice to people out there, PLEASE pay attention to what Macc & others write about mixing practices versus the loudness wars. I have received quite a few tracks that are banging, but unnecessarily compressed & squashed to hell. As long as a track is well mixed, if I need to, I will turn it up to match volume. Those mix fine with released/mastered tracks, no problem. But mixing a squashed track with a properly mixed and mastered track is much more difficult.

Just a tip, FWIW.

Regardless - I am grateful for any & all tracks... keep 'em coming!

YOOOOOOOOOOOO

First of all, soz for taking a minute to get back to ya'll. Been hectic, but no excuse...

I just gotta say BIG UPS for everyone who sent in tracks. There were lots I wanted to use, but just ran out of space for... as you will hear soon (when I upload the set to the archive), I like to go all over the map, so each flava gets limited reppin'.

Remember- just cos it didn't get used the first show, doesn't mean I didn't dig. This is a monthly thing- so I plan a couple shows at a time. PLEASE keep sendin' em in.

For those that were tuned in live--- all I have to say is... well, hahah... sorry for the technical difficulties leading in & out of the show. Once logged in I was fine, but setting up and shutting down had some probs. Lucky for me, it doesn't change the archive... (xcept I didn't have a working voice over at the time).

All praises due! I'll post the archive link as soon as its up.
