I read The Guardian and I listen to dubstep all the time.

The Guide is cack though. It's written by the sort of people who choose music because they think it'll make them look "edgy" rather than because they like it.

Let's be honest - you don't buy a newspaper to find out about music. That's what the internet, Mary Anne Hobbs and your mates are for.

think it was a typo and they meant less drums and more bass in which case it would be a little bit more accurate

WHS

i hate most of the Grauniad's music coverage. insipid singer/songwriter pap and vacuous twats with Fashion Hair, mostly.

ok, time for a hummus break

Its not unheard of.. just because something has slightly left wing liberal leaning unlike other more popular (but cheaper and with a fucklot less annoying preachy readers) rags doesnt mean that its the absolute truth.

lol, when i read this i had a bit of a giggle at how ignorant the writers are of the genres they suppose to know so much about.
It was on the front page of the guide which was a bit odd.

whats more is that the article was entitled something like 'stuff to keep you ahead of the game for 5 minutes' or something meaning cool new things.
Yet they had an article on lolcats which have been around for years!

I do read the Guradniad :D and the OMM is at least trying to be a better supplement than other broadsheets but it still does miss the mark by a country mile on lots of stuff

the BEST newspaper read is http://www.thestoolpigeon.co.uk/, that DOES actually give you some new info, rather than stuff you already know (better)
