yeah security are safe there, theyre more bothered about alcohol getting into the main area, probably down to the fact that they could then sell more. i remember one of the guys showing me a bin bag full of confiscated alcohol like loads of wine bottles, beers, spirits etc then said 'thats nothing mate, come over here' and under the bridge was about 10 bins full of them which they rinsed that night at an afterparty.

JOG ON

I saw 1 rozza there last year, uno, un one!

The security where a bit annoying, but they were looking for cans of beer not weed, I got searched once, the guy put the weed back in my pocket, the bottle of whiskey back in my bag, but took my beers!! Absolutely baffled me but hey - its not something bad!

I loved Big Chill, awesome festival, great vibes, great ppl.

look the one year i went was when sunrise were their. i missed the first night so cant comment on that. in my opinion the general atmoshpere is not a pleasant one. the families and upper class citizens make it uncomfortable to get to fucked and without being that fucked its hard to apprecriate the mediocre music when everyone is sitting down around you. also i dont really like the amount of people that were trying to make me sign up to charities and other shit like the conspiracy theory man (although i laughed very hard at him) as for the security me and several of my friends were subjected to many searches when going in and out of the camping areas but i did hear of people getting their herb back

yo i went there last year , and security seemed liek a bunch of dodgy scousers too me, litreally all of em

my mate fell over watchin uk apache (admittedly a bit inebriated), within about two seconds four security guards had picked him up and taken him round to there area behind the fence,

not being happy at this i followed him and before i knew it there were about 30 people who i didnt know following us all trying to kick off at the security, i think that a lot of them were from the sunrise part and felt really pissed off with security for a variety of reasons, i was camped in crew campin and there were a lot of tales of security nickin stuff even from that field, to be honest i found them some of the worst security ive experieneced, but just shows that everyones experience is different

overall pretty good festy but the ups and downs are explained well on this thread, the settings pretty nice and its overall quite good, jus slightly mad seeing people reading the guardian at a festival on a sunday, i thought that was what we were escapin by going to the fields?!???

still funny , nearly startin a riot! i blame the afghani hashish
