which records?
many many... el-b, bullion, afefe iku, zomby, prime numbers... many more!
poor acetates / cut + bad stampers = bad quality vinyl pressing

its funny to see them be adopted as the place to go for mastering by a scene which values sound quality and BASS.
 you're joking right? what on earth are you going on about? what are you basing this on? :?

i did state Heathmans had closed, and as a result of this Transition were probably alot busier!

could you expand a bit on what factors have led to this judgement? its directly contrary to what i have heard from many reputable sources

init, its disappointing when i get a vinyl and its about as thick as a peace of paper, ant war dub, now thats a chunky vinyl :D
This, got the Martyn Wedged Chicken Remix on Ostgut (?) and its the thinest bloody vinyl I've ever laid my hands on, its like the quality of some of my dads old soul or rock vinyl. And saw Boomkat was seeling it for around 7-8quid!! The cheek!

...not that I stated a 'theory' in my above post but....

-the extensive list of genre defining 12"s and albums that have shaped the scene over the years

-my ears

...... you say 'experiences', that's rather vauge. do you mean experiences of them mastering/pressing your own Dubs?

I'm amazed to see someone actually coming out and trying to slag off Transition, are you mental? Jason and his team have dubstep mastering on lock. Now, if the label THEN doesn't want to spend the money taking that master and getting it pressed at a good pressing factory, on good quality vinyl, that's a totally different matter...

(Edited for clarity)

the thickness of vinyl is not some fail-safe barometer by which you can measure sound quality.

manufacturing a record is a complicated process, and there are a lot of things that can go wrong. if you buy a product which doesn't sound great, you're entitled to be upset but you aren't really in a position to make any assumptions about which parts of the process may have gone wrong. you're certainly not in a position to start slating experienced and skilled mastering engineers

Transition aren't the only good plant man. A lot of people use other plants with great quality and results.

theyre not a plant.

i don't get people who come on here slagging off people like this, surely if you have bought a product which is not up to your standards, take it back to where you bought it from

These noises that are being referred to are typically part of the plating process, and have nothing to do with the cut anyway. A lot of it is a issue referred to as "Ocean wash"", which is when impurities build up in the nickle galvanics bath. It's also hard to nail down fidelity issues, as it is all depending in th individual track, and what the mastering tech was given to work with. The mix they where given could have been pushed through the roof and/or overcompressed, which makes the material really difficult to apply to the physical limitations of a phonographic groove. So it really is unsightful to demonize any one company, really, an every situation is different.

Dubplates and Mastering in Berlin is definitely my studio of choice, even if transition is just around the corner from my yard...

coki's my favourite producer, but like you say. shocking master on this one.
Sort of the same problem with 'Debt' in my opinion.
dunno, Debt sounds a bit nicer... no where near as flat as road rage.
