definitely EPROM - the 64 byte ep is a good bet. also, little shameless plug here:
my myspace has a few tunes that are pretty "lo-fi" though not exactly 8 bit. hit me up there if you want any of them ;)

Word on that. My sets are usually half whompy midtempo stuff and half dubstep. Eprom is one of my favorites.
