Its a lot easier to hear on the remastered CD than it was on my trusty vinyl copy but I remember thinking how cool it was that I had listened to that record literally thousands of times before I noticed it (prolly cos Im always practically in a coma of rapture by the end).

DSOTM is a great choice ... its just that Money track that kinda erks me - I try to think of it as a 'Ringo' track if you know what I mean.

Hmmm great gig in the sky on the ipod max volume now for me :)
Have you noticed the tape wobble at the end of Great Gig In the Sky? Right at the end of the reverb tail...

I think 'Money' is awesome just for the sax solo :p

Tool, for sure.

Their arrangements are amazing. Tracks like Schism and Ticks & Leeches are amazing. Drummer Danny Carey knows how to smack the shit out of a set of drums!

I'd love to use some of those time sig's in my productions.

Other music? Lots of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Cave In and loads more guitar based stuff!

Yes and audiophiles don't consider that album audiophile listening because of that fact. They re-recorded and bounced so much they audibly degraded the tape. But what the hell do they know? Still one of the greatest records known to man and you know I have that shit on vinyl.

I am a huge fan of 70's rock. I am happy to know that I am not the only one (on this board). Really been into Steely Dan lately. They are the masters of the studio imo. I love digging up gems too. Been rocking the Mott the Hoople version of Ready for Love lately. Wowow the guitar tone on that one. Kicks the living shit out of the Bad Co. version. Cream, Doors, Who, Beatles, Led Zep, Sabbath etc been listening to that shit since I was a little boy going through my moms record collection. Never will get sick of that stuff.
