thanks v much for the links, some great stuff there - a lot of the bits on the mtv 'my block' video seem to confirm the slang. it's obviously quite impt to the scene - esp since it's given birth to fo shizzle and other global phrases like that.

what does the furley mean? the only thing i know about 3's company are the references to it in family guy and seinfeld - the prog itself never made the jump over here.

i've already started saying 'yadadamean' occasionally instead of 'yanowhatimean' without realising it. it's weird how much rinsing out a particular kind of music can effect the way you think & talk.

favourite hyphy slang word after further research: 'shaboobalaboopy' - literally means 'i don't know'.

apparently e-40 even wrote a dictionary of slang (he made most of it up himself) but i can't find it for sale anywhere.

also, forget shower faces, its all about repping yr thizz face:

Yes- I heard about that e-40 dictionary as well but I haven't seen it anywhere but then again I haven't looked very hard for it either.
That shaboobalaboopy word is in a Mistah Fab song. I 'll put that song in my next mix.

I always thought shower faces and thizz faces were very similar- just different slang for basically the same thing.

I think the main drug for alot of the guys in the hi fee scene is E.

However white gurl is also prob somewhat of an influence.
