I wish I wanted to stop smoking cigarettes... the thing is that I LIKE smoking... I don't think I'm addicted because I can be days without smoking (if I don't go out the house)... but when I'm outside.... damn I love to smoke lol
And for example... if I stop smoking, what am I going to do on school breaks? The only reason I want to go out from classes is to smoke a cigarette ... because everything else is boring xD

I started getting the same thing and had to cut down. To someone who said just deal with the panic attacks, you've obviously never had a panic attack. It's dark. For me cutting down meant avoiding some of my mates that were heavy stoners.
Like, I swear 90% of the reason people find it hard to stop smoking is because everyone says how hard it is. I smoke weed daily, but every year I stop for about 6-8 weeks over my exams, and for me its literally never been anything other than a case of "im not going to smoke till after exams", followed by...not wanting to/smoking anything till after exams.
This isn't the same as giving up weed. You just stop smoking when everyone else stops and you are cooped up by yourself revising. Try giving up whilst jamming with your mates and everyone around you is smoking daily. You'll find it a much more difficult prospect.

This.
Its what I was trying to get at earlier - if you're serious about quitting you have to cut out the bad habits in your life. Think seriously about all the things that weed affects in your life and make a pre-emptive strike to change these habits (and in extremes, social circles) in order to get yourself off it.
I've never had a panic attack, but then I go through cycles of using and not using - exam time or holidays I lay off it - and to be honest i only smoke when i'm bored silly - which is about 60% of the time after my work is done. I couldn't tell you how to quit weed because i haven't grown attached to it in the same way that others do - however, cigarettes work on a similar principle - it's dependance through comfort of habit.

More often than not, I'll smoke on my own mid-week.
I picked up whilst in town last Saturday night, and was so happy to have a J to go home to before bed. Continued smoking all Sunday (as soon as I woke), and when I went to the toilet at about 3, I had the most horrible anxiety ever.
I'd never had one before, but knew what it was; absolute horror. I was just waiting to stop urinating so I could get back into bed, where I knew I'd feel fine.
For me, cannbis is becoming very much a weekend thing. I smoked copious amounts to myself a few weeks back - spend about £70, and whilst the time on it is nice, and very much something I embrace, I definitely think it should be moderated to a weekend occurance, like alcohol. That said, since getting into cannbis so much since Christmas, I absolutely shun getting leathered. A few pints and I'm happy.

Used to smoke alot of spliff as well, but recently i haven't been smoking alot.
Don't think I can entirely quit though from one day to another...
I'm happy that i've stopped consuming the amounts I used to.
You know what they say though:

"one spliff a day to keep tha evil away!" + it's a BIG tune!!

Cannabis like anything has adverse side effects when used in large quantities. I don't believe it causes schizophrenia or chronic psychosis but it certainly can effect people mentally. It is not a case of being soft or a puff or anything. If a person feels like they want to reduce / stop or they consider themselves to have a problem, no matter how small their intake - then it is seen as a problem.
I still smoke weed now and again but I no longer smoke the oz + I was smoking a week. Not because I was having anxiety attacks or anything but because I was literally a fucking vegetable. The biggest problem I had with weed was it that stopped me from being bored. It is good to be bored - it motivates you do to things. Where as with weed you're quite happy to watch shit cartoons at 3am.
Some people can smoke large quantities of cannabis and have (or at least) claim to have no problems and will take the piss, but if you scratch below the surface... there'll be no surprises in what you find
Occasionally you get a freak who can win gold at the olympics and shit but they're superhuman anyway

My advice is don't set unobtainable goals like 'I'm not going to smoke skunk ever again' because then if you give in and have one spiff you will feel like a failure and more than likely get further depressed about the situation. Which doesn't help.

its all about how much you want it, if you are sure you never want to smoke weed again just say right now that you never will, not even go near it. Personally i reckon being strict with yourself is the only way you avoid th cravings, and the guilt of giving in. Also knowing you have control over your urges and will power makes you feel fucking good!

I don't think it is being a puff tbh.
and also tbh it's got to the stage where its affecting my social life (thinking people are out to get me etc.) and I want to get over that! I just want a break from it to build my confidence up!

Yes, this is so true!!
At times, I was like "wtf is there still any skunk in my pants or something", but then it turned out my sweat smelled like weed, really really weird
And sort of funny too

What has that have to do with anything? What works for you doesn't really have anything to do with this or anyone else.
It's an individual thing and doesn't always come down to willpower. A persons circumstances and what is going on their life, their own self perception, confidence and their social role valorisation all play a role.

It was a perfectly valid response to the conversation he quoted. Maybe you should read a little better before being so dismissive and unleashing the cod psychology.

So I need to add 'lack of wit' to 'patronising', 'looks like a lesbian'. 'emo prick' and 'needs to leave the house and step away from the computer' among other charachteristics to summarise you.
