all im sayin is when someone comes nex to me stinking &/or farting to a certain extent im gona not be able to ignore it. and i dunno about you but its not exactly pleasent and enjoyable.

the is nothing against style or fashon sense, this is just about hygiene. its not even a major deal, cos your not gonna be trying to notice if people have washed much or not at all. thats why it must be excesively bad if your gonna notice it, and its nt exactly much to do to keep clean isit. its just basic human behaviour.

ye i dont mean people abusing it by dressing in certain ways...

i meant abusing it as in they can not shower and wash for days and have mud and dirt on em (regardless of their fashon prefrence) and still get into a rave where as a club would not only discriminate against what your wearing but probably before that against how clean you are.

Dresscodes are hardly about hygene. Most of the dresscodes enforced around the U.S. at least, are about not allowing people to wear gang identifying clothing. We had a club here a while back that got the cops called on it 260 times in one year. It was open 2 nights a week.

My policy: Have the best bouncers possible. You fight, you are gone. You come to the door the next week, we let your girl in first, then we tell you to leave for fighting last week. It weeds em out real quick. Works like a charm.

some of our mates put on a night in a bar in london a few years ago

we turned up there was no one on the door and there was no reference to any dress code on entry

so we got to the bar and bought a drink. the bouncer rocks up and asks my mate to take his hat off to which my mate said "sorry thats against my beleifs, im a rasta i only let my woman see my locks" to which the bouncer replied "are you taking the piss? take your hat off or leave" (probably due to the fact that my mate is a white baldhead with a cap on) "no im not, but you are cos theres no sign at the door saying no hats and i just bought a drink and im going to drink it, and im leaving my cap on" replies my mate
the bouncer hesitates then my mate points out that the guy on the decks (who was also promoting the night) has also got a cap on and no ones bothering him at which point every1 had a bit of a chuckle and the bouncer walked off with his tail between his legs. that was the only time our mates done a night there

mate, jobsworth power trippin bouncers are the worst. i've had the same problem with hats (i do like me 'ats), at a club in manc once, after repeatedly being told to remove my head garment, doing so, then replacing said accessory straight away when the bouncer walked off, it finally came down to him 'advising' me that if i didnt take my hat off he was gonna 'take me outside and do me in'.

I see this far too often at clubs, where the bouncers are the ones getting the fight started, contradicting the entire reason they are there in the first place. I understanding locking someone up and dragging them out of an establishment is necessary at times, but I see the bouncers throwing punches more often than actually ejecting people. Many times they are even the first to throw down. Trust me, we don't need to hire people to start the brawl, when there are enough people with credability issues in the place to begin with.

Clothes don't matter, as long as you enjoy the music as it is and that's how it should be
