best thing to do is www.goldenerajungle.com
register and start the download madness
recommended sets:
curious? - original drum selector
dj dextrous & rude boy keith @ '95 brockout
the hermit - runn things
jj jellybeans - jungle unites and brockout style '95

do NOT download ruffneck @ '95 brockout though
it doesn't matter how appealing the tracklist looks like, the mc will make you want to beat up random people and throw away all your mc-related records

i love how the old good looking stuff sounded.
bang the drums, travelling part 2 (i think this was originally released on rugged vinyl though), tear into it,..
also the later stuff on looking good, still in '97 sounding very much like what real jungle should or could be like while other labels had a very monotome (not to be read negative) and static sound by then.
i think i should download me some old ltj bukem mixes aswell :)

Unless Pinch has mad knowledge, that's where the sample from Punisher came from. That's my favorite shit. Also, Shy FX: Who Run Tingz? Bad, bad tune.
Hell yeah!

"Slip Thru" off of Ed Rush & Optical's 'Wormhole' was total junglestep!!

Anyone know the name/producer of the old jungle tune with the wailing "in lurrrvvvvvvve" diva vocal and e-d out synths in it? Its on a mix i've got called "Quest, A Shade from the Darkside - Randall and Bukem 27TH noV 1993" and though its cheese i want to know who wrote it. If the descriptions too vague i'll post a clip, its fairly distinctive though so i'm sure someone will know....

this one isn't ment to get feedback on, i know the qualities and especially the non-qualities of this mix, not ment to promote myself, this set isn't representative for me, but i hope people can enjoy the tracks and maybe even the mixing at times, i myself think the previous mix i posted was better, even though shorter.
if anyone wants to feel free to download & comment, but as said before this just isn't my best.

shonky wrote:If you're after vinyl, Suburban Base released a comp of classics the other year, but doubt it's still floating around now.

DJ Hype (feat. MC GQ) - Roll The Beats (Inject The Bass Mix)
Droppin' Science - Volume 1
Boogie Times Tribe - The Dark Stranger (Origin Unknown Remix)
Johnny Jungle - Johnny
DJ Rap & Aston - Jeopardy (Desired State Remix)
D'Cruze - Watch Out
Pure - Anything Test (DJ Zinc Exclusive Mix)
The Dream Team - Warriors
DJ Dextrous & Rude Boy Keith (feat. H-Pee) - Time To Move
Droppin' Science - Firin' Line
Cutty Ranks - Limb By Limb (DJ SS Remix)
Remarc - R.I.P. (DJ Hype Remix)
D'Cruze has done much, much better tracks than Watch Out. Underrated producer imo.
