Since he is using Ableton He might be recording the drumloops into a new audio track and changing the swing while he records the drumloops into a new audio track....EX.- swing 32 to swing 16 during certain parts of the loop to shuffle it...

I'm betting FlyLo just drums the beats out by hand for the entire song by hand on his trigger finger, or at least does this for a few bars, and then goes from there arranging all the synths and such over top of it ignoring quantization.

After 4-5 years im only recently starting to explore the realms of un quantized beats. Can defo hear a difference for it aswell, has freshened things up somewhat.
