Yeh I have seen the shaper but have never used it from the back like this. What do you need to wire in/out too on the back?

i think this is way more complicated then just get a formant filter
i doubt that. make a simple low analog bass with lfo modulation, 5 seconds, apply bitcrusher and move down one of the parameters, i forget what its called, 5 more seconds. thats the basics in literally no time whatsoever, what could be more simple?

Create a Malstrom, flip the rack around and patch the 'audio output' of any other Reason unit into the 'audio input' sockets of the Malstrom (located on the far right).
Patching the cable into the Shaper/Filter A socket passes the audio through the Malstroms Waveshaper and then the Filter A section sequentially (one after the other).
Finally, connect the malstrom audio outputs to the mixer.

Thor can also be used as an insert effect, although the method for setting this up is a pain in the arse...
I can't remember exactly how it is done, but after you have connected your audio cables to Thors input sockets, you have to use Thors routing matrix to assign the input to filter 3. Because Thor is crap, you can only route your audio through filter 3 instead of all three of Thors filters. Lost opportunity imo.
