No specific comment on that. Apart from the fact that having a PhD from a top University does not necessarily equate with being highly intelligent (true, the chances are higher). In much the same way that IQ tests also do not really have much correspondence with intelligence in general, merely a specific subdivision of what intelligence is.

But anyway, what does intelligence have to do with political beliefs, and whether those beliefs are any good or bad? Plenty of highly intelligent people have, throughout the course of history, demonstrated poor integrity or judgement in running countries, businesses, whathaveyou. Plenty of them have also shown good judgement and integrity.

I do think though that intelligence is a prerequisite for being a good liar.
