.... i was quite surprised i actually sort of like it.... as a dance piece.... i think calling it Dubstep is a slight marketing tactic though and doesn't benefit it.
Always quite like Felix and the one thing that makes this piece stand out for me is the use of dynamics... something a lot of dance music can lack (with the exception of drops).... It's what kryptic minds have also captured well in their music.

Yes it is quite tedious, but it's a little bit original if we are classing it as dubstep (coming from a hard dance perspective). But still, i think it is ok.

wack imo, should never be played at a dubstep night, it aint even dubstep anyway more like slowed down gabba or something.

I would have to agree with most of you in this thread, that AIN'T dubstep. And it's not like I demand the snare/clap to be on the 3rd beat, I realise that there is plenty of flexibility in the genre.

I wish I was arrogant enough to make a tune as simple and as boring as this (honestly... it would take 5 minutes to recreate - sure, it's having the idea first that counts, but this isn't even a good idea). And then to have people call it fucking fierce? Lucky Felix!

It ain't as bad as you guys are making it out to be. I've heard plenty of released dubstep that is much worse IMHO. I also like the dynamic activity, and who says simple is bad? Half of dubstep out there is "simple". Anyway, it's all on how you use it in your set, it could work well if you have similar sounding tunes.... And I love the way the bass drops in.

i like this. we all know it's not dubstep, but i want to see where felix is going with his music now. since, i listen to and play other genres this is interesting to me. people shouldn't be so fast to shut things down imo.

fierce is strong word tho, this is not fierce at all. although, i really want to hear it on a big soundsystem. that's where it will show it's strength i think.

he's not calling it dubstep as far as I'm aware, just gave it that title to stir up a bit of discussion!

Not dubstep as a lot of people have said, but I'd love to hear it on a decent soundsystem instead of cacky work PC speakers..
I think I'll just have to hope Erol plays it at GG...
