WOW filter eh? Damn I'm using live 6 and don't know the WOW filter. Probably sickness.
yeah mang the sugar bytes wow filter.. no mixer has even come close to the filter sweeps I use with the wow filter and the eq's sound pro also..
With the effectrix you can do backspins and all kinds of cool effects..
Just got this bundle. Looks sick, any tips, tricks, or suggestions you want to share?

Yeah the eq's that come wiith ableton are proper shit.. I would recommend some third party vst's for your eq's.. They will work with any version of ableton you have.. That's one of the nice things about running ableton as opposed to another program because you can use awesome vst's for you set!!
I still have not heard a mixer that can even come close to the eq's and filters I run in ableton when djing..

I prefer to play strictly vinyl, but i've found that w/ dubstep, vinyl can be limiting because there are so many dope tunes that dont get vinyl releases. So, for now I play vinyl and cds, but I'm getting Serato at the end of the summer so I can forget about the cds and just play vinyl and serato.

Been using Torq for about 2 years now. It does the trick for me.
Did one vinyl set this year. Was cool for a while but then I ran out of tunes after about 45 minutes. Should have brought my computer.

You will lug a record crate around but not a computer?
I love my new set up. Can fit everything I need in a little computer case and throw it over my shoulder. It's too awesome.

Ableton 7, NI Audio Kontrol 1 interface, Akai MPD 32, a bunch of returns with Dblue, effectrix, Cycling 74, filters, flangers, delays etc. all with custom parameters.... haven't found that rewind on effictrix... is that a pretset or is there a special trick... I'm not a huge fan of the rewind... but I'd love to have the option... i was actually gonna make my own samples of rewinds to use.... but that sounds like a better idea.
OH! btw... yea.. ableton eq's are shite... but make sure you use the Hi-Q option on ALL ableton effects... and designing custom eq curves doen't hurt. There's a really nice one on the users group called M2W Channel Dynamics thats got the exact curves of the Zone 92... I've been using that for a minute now, pertty decent.. but I may switch to one of the URS eq's (which i use to produce) and hook it up with some custom parameters

Vinyl only. I never got the hang of mixing off CDJs and I can't be fucked to digitize my collection.
