Cubase for MIDI and recording mixes, s5000 for sample editing. Really though, we CREATE the music by messing around with hardware and recording live experiments. We then sample the dat tapes and build tunes out of them. No use of programs at all in a creative context.

We've got a big pile of fresh dubs cut and I'm currently doing DJ sets solo on our behalf while we get the live set together. I've been basically playing all Cloaks from dubs for 40mins or so, seems to be enough.
I don't fuck about beat-matching, just selecting, Jah Shaka style!
The live set is coming along, but will probably be a few months in the waiting, we're hoping to have it ready for late this year, rehearsed and out properly early next.
If anyone wants to book me in the meantime?.........
erm...

As unbelievable as it may seem buddy, not all artists are DJs. Furthermore, some artists don't make music for the dancefloor, or for specific consumption by DJs. Most dub and reggae selectors seem to play regularly without the need to beatmatch and I also resent having to play our tunes at -8% and +8% to get them to fit.
If you could maybe take time to listen to our stuff, you'd clearly hear that we're not 'dubstep' and we're not dancefloor - most of the nights we play at are more noise and metal related.
Still confused???

I'm still listening to the demo mp3s you sent me in 06! I was stoked to see the Werk hook up happen, and the self release deal is a good way for you guys to go.
